Magdalene College is one of the famous central Cambridge University Colleges. Founded in 1428, Magdalene is the 7th oldest college in Cambridge and one of the most beautiful. It has the longest river front of any college and is just north of Magdalene Bridge which is famous for punting. The most famous Magdalene building is the Samuel Pepys Library. It is named after the famous seventeenth century writer and hosts his original diaries. Student bedrooms are in the famous Magdalene Village and teaching rooms are in the recently-opened Cripps Court with fantastic modern facilities. The centre of Cambridge is only a short walk away, making Magdalene the ideal location for a prestigious summer school for older students. It is a beautiful and inspiring college in the middle of this historic city.
